Resident Spotlight: Rosa Harris

Tell us a little about yourself:
I was born in Tuskegee, Alabama and I moved to Cleveland in the early seventies. I have two sons and two grandchildren. They are the love of my life. I have a Master of Education from Cleveland State University, Bachelor’s of Science, Alabama State University, Graduate Studies from various universities.

I was a secondary biology and Advanced Placement teacher in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District for forty years. I enjoyed engaging students with hands-on activities and helping them to use critical thinking skills while helping them develop academically, socially, and personally.

When did you move to Woodmere? Why did you select the area?
I moved to Woodmere in 1979. Woodmere is a beautiful and quiet community with an excellent school district. There’s easy access to the freeways, shopping… I love the open land to make you feel free.

What are some of your favorite local businesses to recommend to friends?
My favorite local businesses in the area are Privé Nail Spa, Fleming’s and Mitchell’s Fish Market.
