September is “National Preparedness Month.” What does that mean, exactly? It is a campaign that FEMA has launched to help spread the importance and awareness of being prepared in the event of a disaster. FEMA strives to make sure not only every person and family has a plan, from communication to safe meeting points, but also to help communities being prepared with larger scaled plans.
