Oh what a time on the North coast!
The Cleveland Cavaliers are World Champions in basketball; the Lake Erie Monsters won the 2016 Calder Cup Championship; the Cleveland Indians are a top the American League Central in baseball; there are great expectations for the Browns; the Republican Party convenes in our town in July, and our region is re-establishing a well-deserved reputation as the city of champions.
And yes, Woodmere Village is on the rebound too.
As a 20-year resident of this community and second-term council president, I am energized by our progress. I invite visitors to take a stroll east of Interstate 271, off Chagrin Boulevard, and you will discover that our quaint community is brimming with dining, shopping, and a cosmopolitan life-style.
To borrow a sports analogy, some municipalities would offer a first round draft choice to have the comforts that residents and businesses enjoy in Woodmere.
On a daily basis, our families and friends amble safely throughout our area. Woodmere is home to 600 residents and the place of business for 400 companies. Not to mention that Woodmere is a destination location for untold numbers. We know Woodmere is a favorite locale to discuss business over coffee and cocktails and to execute deals over dinner and drinks.
We invite the RNC delegates to come and relax in Woodmere after a full day of deliberation. The Village leadership is providing shuttles to make travel from area hotels more convenient to the Woodmere entertainment hub.
We invite state leaders and tourism representatives to come see what our one-square mile community has to offer; promote our Village as a destination location, and share the story of inclusion and diversity that is our hallmark. Great things are happening here; come to Woodmere – we are right next door!
