The Village of Woodmere is proud to share that Mayor Benjamin Holbert III has been selected to give the commencement address for Kent State University’s summer graduation ceremony.
Mayor Holbert graduated with a B.A. in Telecommunications from Kent State in 1984. He shares, “It is such an honor to return to Kent State and be invited to deliver the Commencement Address; I hope to convey a message of service that will resonate with the baccalaureate graduates.”
“Delivering a commencement address has been on my bucket list for many years, but to be invited to present remarks to graduates at Kent State exceeds my wildest imagination,” Mayor Holbert continues.
The ceremony is August 17th at 9:30 at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center.
“I am humbled by the invitation to speak to the graduates and look forward to sharing my thoughts on life and public service,” he says.
